For the most part, design service offered by VIKING Signs is the initial step toward supplying a customer with a finished sign.  Therefore, our design service fee is typically included in the advertised price of a sign order.

When purchasing signs, the customer never really sees a charge for the design service, as it is included in the advertised price.  Many sign companies would refer to this as a "free" service, but in reality, we all know that this is truly just a cost which is figured into the final price paid.

In general, this "hidden cost" of design service ranges anywhere from $6.00 to $79.00, depending on the type of signs purchased and the amount of time that we anticipate we will spend on the creation of the design.  Although rare, there are times when we will require additional fees over those built into the advertised price.  But under normal circumstances, the posted price is the price you will pay.  In such an event that additional fees may be necessary, we will inform you before the services are rendered.

Please note:  Designs created by VIKING Signs are copyright protected as Intellectual Property and remain the property of VIKING Signs until purchased by the customer.  Upon purchase (whether through purchase of signs or as a separate service), the customer will then be deemed as the owner of the designs and may utilize these designs as he wishes.

General Design Fee Guidelines

Standard design fee......................$79.00 for first hour.
Additional time over 1 hour..........$19.00 per quarter hour.

Additional Design Services

When initially purchasing signs for a new company, It is common for a customer to request design images to be utilized for business cards, letterheads and websites.  We are happy to convert your vector (sign) images to rastor (digital media) images as stated below:

         Image File Package

• Adobe Illustrator (vector image) file of your complete sign.
• Adobe Illustrator (vector image) file of your logo or logotype
• full color jpg images of your logo at 72 dpi for web usage
• black and white jpg images of your logo at 72 dpi for web usage
• full color jpg images of your logo at 300 dpi for print usage
• black and white jpg images of your logo at 300 dpi for print usage

Above file mailed on disc................$49.00 / all
